Lakewood, CA — recovering from surgery can be long and difficult, but the newest addition at Lakewood Regional Medical Center will help make the process a little easier.
The hospital celebrated the grand opening of their $1.2 million newly expanded Medical/Surgical Unit with Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, Lakewood city officials, Governing Board Members, past and current medical staff members and hospital employees with a reception and ribbon cutting ceremonies.
“Despite a very challenging time in healthcare, Lakewood Regional Medical Center continues to make substantial improvements in the hospital so we can better serve our patients. This beautifully designed unit offers new features and technology to deliver comfort and superior care. Sincere thanks to: 1) Our physicians for their support 2) Associates for their dedication and 3) Tenet for the investment in our hospital. We look forward to making more improvements to better serve our community,” said hospital President and CEO, B. Joseph Badalian.
The 7,000 square foot new space features large spacious semi-private rooms with hotel-like accommodations, including flat screen televisions. In addition, the 19-bed unit has a private meeting room for family consultations, private physician work area and 2 dedicated nursing stations.
