LAKEWOOD, Calif – Lakewood Regional Medical Center announced today that Claretz Morales, Employee Health Manager, has been honored by Tenet Healthcare as part of its annual recognition program. Claretz has been named a “Tenet Hero” for her incredible contributions in 2020.

The Tenet Heroes program celebrates those individuals who make a meaningful impact within their respective communities that goes above and beyond their daily job responsibilities. Nominated by fellow colleagues, Tenet Heroes exemplify the company’s core values and key tenets of its Community Built on Care.

Claretz oversees the Employee Health Department and engages regularly with the 1,000 employees of the hospital – a small and mighty department of one. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she made herself available 24/7 to each and every member of our staff. She's been an educator, clinical screener, offered moral support and provided counsel for our staff and physicians.  She has gone out of her way to be there for the team and exudes the qualities of a Tenet Hero.

“Claretz has worked hard to ensure that the hospital is a safe environment for all. She is a gem to our hospital.”said John Grah, Lakewood’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are grateful for her efforts, positive attitude, selfless nature and commitment to compassionate care particularly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are proud to work alongside her.”
